Queer animated movie ‘Nimona’ has been nominated in 9 categories at the 51st Annie Awards!
The groundbreaking animated movie is getting its flowers with 9 nominations at the Annie Awards which recognizes excellence in animation shown in American cinema and television.
‘Nimona’ was nominated in all the major categories, including Best Feature, Best Direction, and Best Writing. Chloë Grace Moretz, who played Nimona also received a nomination for Best Voice Acting. The movie was also nominated for Best Storyboarding, Best Character and Production Design, Best Character Animation, and Best Editorial.
Other animated films such as ‘Across the Spider-Verse’, ‘The Boy and the Heron’, and ‘Suzume’ have been nominated for 7 categories and will battle it out with ‘Nimona’ for the Best Feature category.
