Maya Hawke who plays the iconic queer character Robin in the hit series ‘Stranger Things’ said that she feels a little “mixed” with the idea of Robin getting a girlfriend in the next season of the popular Netflix show.
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, when she was asked how she feels about Robin potentially having a girlfriend after the character revealed to have a crush on someone of the same sex, she said that she feels “mixed” about it.
“I feel that that’s a great thing, and I also love characters where their love life is not the center of their existence,” she explained. “That friendship with Steve is so special. And friendships have been carrying me through my life. I think they’re really important, and they deserve their airtime.”
