LOOK: Adrian Lindayag & Neo France Garcia To Star In Filipino BL ‘Marahuyo Project’

The Philippines is bringing something new to the table this Pride Month with its upcoming BL series, ‘Marahuyo Project.’

On June 8, Saturday, ‘Marahuyo Project’ was announced as an upcoming BL show in celebration of a “queer friendship series and a coming-of-age journey of self-discovery and identity” starring musical actor Adrian Lindayag and newbie actor Neo France Garcia.

Anima Studios (previously known as Globe Studios) will be producing ‘Marahuyo Project’. It is home to other queer films and series such as the pandemic smash-hit BL show ‘Gaya Sa Pelikula’, the sapphic sports romance ‘Rookie’, and the trans-comedy-thriller ‘Marupok AF’.

The production studio also released a teaser poster featuring Garcia and Lindayag looking at each other with huge smiles on their faces. How cute!

Marahuyo is an old Tagalog word that means “to be attracted or to be enchanted.”

This is Garcia’s first full-length series as a lead actor. Lindayag, on the other hand, has acted in queer roles and other queer projects in the past such as the BL film ‘The Boy Foretold By The Stars’ and its sequel series ‘Love Beneath The Stars’ with Keann Johnson, and the lesbian flick ‘Becky and Badette’.

Aside from Garcia and Lindayag, the series also includes in the cast Ryle Paolo Santiago, Nour Hooshmand, Yani Villarosa (also known online as yanihatesu), Tommy Alejandrino, AJ Sison, Ian Villa, and many other stellar actors.

Critically-acclaimed filmmaker JP Habac will helm this project which started filming in 2022.
