‘Bridgerton’ and ‘Fellow Travelers’ star Jonathan Bailey talks about his short but sweet cameo role in the queer series ‘Heartstopper’.
Weeks of speculation hounded the ‘Heartstopper’ community when Jonathan Bailey’s photos donning his Jack Maddox outfit spread online. But after the production company officially announced Bailey’s involvement in the web novel turned series, the news was met with much fervor. Bailey talks about how special the series is to him in an interview with Variety, saying, “Like so many people, I watched the first [season] and thought it was one of the biggest, most beautiful gifts to so many people, and I wish I had that growing up.”
The ‘Bridgerton’ heartthrob goes on to explain how he got the cameo role by reaching out to the show’s executive producer, Patrick Walters. He reached out to him and said he wanted to be a part of that story, and the rest was history! Jonathan Bailey will be making a cameo as the famous author (and Charlie’s crush), Jack Maddox.
