Will we finally see the sci-fi bromance this year?

‘The Wanderers’, adapted from the novel ‘The Orphans of Red Planet’ by Liu Yang is a 12-episode series with Fei Qi Ming and Zhao Yi Qin as the lead actors. The filming began on April 24, 2021, and ended on June 21, 2021, with the official Weibo account’s last post being in 2022. Many fans are expecting to see the bromance even though it has been years since the drama was finished but with MangoTV’s new post regarding the series for the Hunan TV & MGTV’s industry event, the fans’ excitement has been reignited. Though the series is only bromance, the trailer showcases the amazing cinematography and editing that can immediately transport the viewers to the world of the story and is definitely worth watching.

SYNOPSIS: Gu He joined an experimental project of the Jinteng Group and entered the top Jinteng high school with his friend, the genius boy Ye Wen. The high school is full of mysteries, with young female teachers mysteriously disappearing and various physics phenomena that defy logic, making Gu He and others feel the abnormality of the school. Gu He and Ye Wen escape from the school and discover that the high school is actually located in a space station far from Earth. At the same time, Earth is plunged into crises such as power outages and wildfires, and unidentified stone tablets appear everywhere. The stone tablets bear extraterrestrial puzzles that are completely different from the human knowledge system. Humanity establishes the “263 Plan,” turning the puzzles into exam questions for the Jinteng students on the space station, hoping to use their strong learning abilities to unlock the secrets of the stone tablets. A nanochip in Gu He’s eyes accidentally makes him the only link between aliens and humans. Gu He, Ye Wen, and others work together with students and teachers from other countries to solve the puzzles, discovering that the disasters on Earth are caused by aliens needing to escape a helium flash to collect energy. After a close call, Gu He and others use an electronic transmitter to help the aliens escape, bringing new life to Earth.
