Oh no! We might not get ‘Heaven Official’s Blessing’ donghua’s second season soon because the voice actor for our god, Xie Lian, just got arrested.
Jiang Guangtao, who, apart from Xie Lian, lent his voice to characters from games such as ‘Tears of Themis’, ‘Chinese Paladin 5’, and was even the Chinese dubbed voice of Troy in ‘High School Musical’, has been arrested due to embezzlement.
Houlang Studio, Jiang’s studio, has terminated its contract with him following reports about this incident. He, alongside three others (two of which work at Houlang Studio), was arrested due to claims of millions of dollars of misappropriating public funds.
This could be detrimental to the release of the second season of the ‘Heaven Official’s Blessing’ donghua, because even if the director teased fans that it may get released in the second half of the year, it might just get delayed because of this incident.
