Dig deeper for the truth, and fall harder for the love. ‘Petrichor’ begins November 23!
‘Petrichor’ is based on the author duo SIXTEENSEVEN’s novel “Petrichor — Rust in the Rain”. The adaptation is being penned by Sammon, known for her novels “Manner of Death,” “Triage,” and “Spare Me Your Mercy.” A murder on a rainy night brings together Tul, a police officer, and Cherran, a forensic doctor, as they investigate a chilling case reminiscent of the Raindrop Murders from 18 years ago. The case centers around a killer who strikes on rainy days, and the investigation becomes personal as Tul realizes her mother was the last victim of the original murders. While Tul and Cherran are bound by their professional duty to uncover the truth, their relationship begins to grow beyond mere colleagues. As they navigate complex emotions and responsibilities, they face the difficult question of whether they can protect both the “truth” and their newfound love.
The official trailer presents a dark, intense atmosphere filled with suspense. It opens on a stormy night, setting a somber, tense tone as flashes of the crime scene reveal a young woman’s lifeless body in the rain. The video highlights the characters’ professional tension and growing emotional connection as they uncover more clues. With an impressive cast, the series is bound to draw viewers into the mystery.
