Wuxia BL drama ‘Meet You at the Blossom’ has finally announced its lead actors and introduced its other cast members!

Big Superstar, the production company, has announced that the rising stars Wang Yunkai and Le Li will be taking on the lead roles of Zongzheng Huai’en and Jin Xiaobao in the upcoming Wuxi BL drama ‘Meet You at the Blossom’.

This series comprises 12 episodes, each lasting 40 minutes, and is an adaptation of Shiu Qian Cheng’s novel ‘Blooming Flowers, Silent Sorrow’. It is directed by Chen Yiyu (Nancy), renowned for her work on Taiwanese BL dramas ‘Papa & Daddy’, ‘HIStory 4: Close To You’, and ‘HIStory 5: Love in the Future’. Along with the lead cast announcement, they also introduce additional cast members:

The drama depicts In the Jiangnan region, the wealthy Jin family’s son, Jin Xiaobao, unexpectedly falls for an icy beauty, Huai’en. Despite his less-than-dashing appearance, Jin Xiaobao’s kind and generous nature makes him a suitable partner, even for an emperor’s daughter. Struggling with failed marriage proposals, Jin Xiaobao stumbles upon Huai’en, seemingly a fairy, and declares her his wife. However, Huai’en’s mysterious past and enemies soon surface. She suffers an attack and is drugged during a dangerous and dark night. In a twist, Jin Xiaobao, eager to play the hero, rushes to save her, only to find himself overpowered and seduced by his supposed “wife.”

‘Meet You at the Blossom’ is planned to be released in the second or third quarter of 2024 and is now being showcased in the 28th Hong Kong International Film & TV Market. Stay tuned to BLtai for more updates!
