Actor Long Shi Lee answers questions regarding continuing to play his character “Day” in the Thai BL, ‘Love Syndrome’.
During an interview with some of the media at the Maya TV Awards 2023, Lee was asked why he decided to play the role of “Day” despite knowing that his partner, Frank Thanatsaran who played “Itt”, will not go back to reprise his role for ‘Love Syndrome’ prequel.
Lee responded to the question directly, saying, “I’m not so famous that I don’t have to work to have money. I still have expenses and obligations that I’m responsible for. I did think about it because I will have to work [on the series] and Frank will not. [I thought] am I leaving my friend behind? Did I abandon my friend? I secretly felt indifferent to myself [because of it]. But, on the other hand, if I don’t do the series, I won’t have money to support my family.”
