Cali’s “Kemjira Will Survive” Gets Drama Adaptation

Cali’s best-selling novel “Kemjira Will Survive” will be having its live adaptation.

On April 9th, ARN BOOK revealed on their tweet that Cali’s best-selling novel “Kemjira Tongrod” with a literal translation of ‘Kemjira Will Survive’ will be having its drama adaptation. It is a horror fantasy romance story revolving around ghosts, black magic, beliefs, and culture in E-san.

Since then, Thai fans started mentioning BL actors’ names such as NuNew Chawarin (Cutie Pie Series) and PP Krit (I Told Sunset About You and I Promised You The Moon), who they wanted to take the role of ‘Kemjira’ on Twitter.

The story depicts Kem, a young man who was born in a cursed family pertaining to childbirth: if it’s a daughter, she’s safe, and if not, that son must die before he reaches the age of 20. To solve the problem, her mother gave him the name ‘Kemjira’, which is a name usually given to young girls and means forever safe. He believed that until his nineteenth birthday approached. At the age of nineteen, started to see ghosts and experience strange things around him. Kem seeks help from a white magic shaman. Will his meeting with a young man named Paran keep him safe? Or will it lead to his death? Let’s find out how soon.
