Critically acclaimed lesbian drama series ‘Fragrance of the First Flower’ teases with more romantic photos as it inches closer to its global release!
Produced by GagaOOLala, the second installment of the Taiwanese sapphic series will see the return of Yi-Ming (played by Lin ZaiZai) and Ting-Ting (played by Lyan Cheng) with new characters introduced to add some exciting complexity to the story.
The first season follows the story of the two — Yi-Ming, a married woman with a son, who reunites with a girl from her past, Ting-Ting. As their encounter sparks a new romantic connection, Yi-Ming looks into the possibility of escaping the monotonous married life.
Aside from streaming on GagaOOLala, the first season was also distributed to South Korea, Australia, Spain, and Portugal, with a limited theatrical release in South Korea.
In the upcoming second season, however, Yi-Ming embarks on a new chapter as a newly divorced single mother and a career woman. This not only opens a new opportunity and fresh start for her but also puts challenges on her as a single parent alongside other societal pressures. Yi-Ming also grapples with whether she can now follow her heart and pursue a life with Ting-Ting.
The second season will expand to 12 episodes, twice the length of the first season’s six. Although there is no final date for its release yet, it will be available for streaming on GagaOOLala in 2024.
