Taiwanese actor and Fahrenheit singer Aaron Yan crashed his ex-boyfriend and alleged sexual assault victim Qiu Yaole’s press conference held June 21st.
Trigger warning: sensitive topic; mentions of rape, sexual assault, illegal hidden filming, abuse of a minor
Qiu was merely minutes into his opening statement when Yan made an unannounced appearance at the press conference to apologize but deny that he secretly filmed Qiu without his consent.
“I want to solemnly say sorry to you here for making you suffer things that you should not have to bear in life,” Yan said.
Following his appearance, Yan, 37, was alleged to have raped and illegally filmed sexual activities when he was in a relationship with the then-minor Qiu.
In an Instagram post uploaded on Tuesday, June, 20, Qiu accused Yan of sexually assaulting him when he was 16 and said their sexual acts were filmed by a third party. Qiu added that he was forced to halt his studies due to stress when their scandalous video leaked in 2018.
Qiu also maintained that he has evidence and records of conversations on Instagram to prove that Yan threatened to send the mafia to deal with him if he revealed details of the making of the tapes.
