‘Unintentional Love Story’ director and staff talk about how the series lead actors, B1A4’s Gongchan and actor Cha Seo Won are a perfect fit to play their characters.
There is a lot of anticipation for the upcoming BL series, especially because the director is Jang Eui Soon, the same person who directed the Thai-Korean BL collaboration, “Peach of Time”. And together with a great director comes a poised writer, Shin Ji An who also wrote one of the first Korean BLs, ‘Where Your Eyes Linger’. With such a caliber team, there is much anticipation for this upcoming drama.
When it came to ‘Unintentional Love Story’, the PD staff mentioned that they cast the perfect main lead roles. They said, “When we saw the episode of (Korean reality show) ‘I Live Alone’ where actor Cha Seo Won participated, we said, ‘He is Yoon Tae Joon!'”. And when it came to Gong Chan, he previously worked with the staff of the series who also thought that he is a perfect person to play in a romantic drama, saying “Ji Won Young is Gong Chan. His smile exudes so much brightness like the sun.”
The drama is a fun romantic series based on a manhwa that shows pure love that started from an interesting situation, which the mean leads portrayed very well. And when it came to the pair’s chemistry, the staff can only say, “Cha Seo Won and Gong Chan act in such perfect harmony.”
