Are you ready for ‘SKAM Korea’?
On July 28th, BADaaa, a casting personnel company, published a recruitment notice on the filmmaker’s website for their upcoming project ‘SKAM Korea’, which is a South Korean remake of the hit Norwegian teen drama series ‘SKAM’. The OTT/TV drama is produced by LG U+ and will be under the direction of Ahn Ji Hoon. The production is planned to start filming in late December or early February of 2024. The latter recruitment targets aspiring male and female actors who will play the roles of high school students—ages between 16 and 25—with height recruitment of more than 180 centimeters for males and more than 160 centimeters for females.
SKAM is a four-season teen drama revolving around Oslo high school students attending Hartvig Nissen School, which has become one of the most popular television shows in Norway, with nearly half of all internet traffic to NRK leading to the show. Following the success of the series, there have been 7 remakes: SKAM Italia (Italy), wtFOCK (Belgium), SKAM Austin (United States), SKAM NL (Netherlands), SKAM (Danish play), Druck (Germany), and SKAM France—and the 8th is from South Korea.
