‘His Man’ Participants Hokeep & Chan Kyu To Star in a Web Drama

You read it right—Hokeep and Chan Kyu are reportedly set to star in a Korean web drama!

On July 14th, madebyHOKEEP, a YouTube channel run by Hokeep, one of the participants from ‘His Man‘, the first-ever South Korean gay dating reality show available to stream on GagaOOLala, posted a 30-second trailer that caused confusion among fans who followed him in the show. As they thought, the video clip below pertains to Hyuk Jun and his final couple from the show getting back together after they broke up.

A follow-up clarification was revealed on July 17th, as madebyHOKEEP posted more details about the preview through its community tab.

Hokeep, along with his fellow participant in ‘His Man’, Kim Chan Kyu, who starred in the web drama ‘Discipline Z: Vampire (2020)’, will star in a web drama titled ‘‘연애프로그램에서 최종 커 플이 된’, with a literal translation of ‘The Finale Couple In The Dating Program’. The first episode will be released tomorrow, July 19th, at midnight KST on madebyHOKEEP’s YouTube channel. In addition, the pinned comment informs international fans that Hokeep and Chan Kyu are not dating and that it’s a web drama aimed at distinguishing ‘queer’ from ‘BL’.

The web drama depicts two young men who joined a gay dating reality show and ended up becoming the final couple, now celebrating their first anniversary through a couple vlog.

On the other hand, ‘His Man’ brings together a group of eight hot, sexy, free, and single gay men to a shared house where they are to live, interact and open up to each other in their quest for “true love.”
