‘Happy Merry Ending’ lead characters Lee Dong Won and Byun Seong Tae, together with co-star Shin Myeon Sung, ended up talking about their fellow co-star and former SS501 member, Kim Kyu Jong.
The actors of ‘Happy Merry Ending’ were asked about the friendly atmosphere. Lee Dong Won (who plays the wedding singer, Seung Jun) says, “Myeon Sung and I are long-time friends, while Seong Tae hangs around us a lot during and even before filming started. It was important to get close (when filming a drama), that’s why we often spent time together to meet and drink alcohol. Additionally, Byun Seong Tae (who plays the café owner and part-time pianist, Jae Hyun), flexes his maknae privileges by saying, “I barely spent money. (smiles) The hyungs really paid most of it. Especially (former SS501 member) Kim Kyu Jong, who plays idol CEO Joo Won in the drama.”

Singing more praise for Kim Kyu Jong, Lee Dong Won says, “He is such an incredible senior to us, so I thought it would be difficult to get close to him. However, we met a lot even beyond filming schedules, so now we’ve gotten a lot closer. There was a scene in the drama that was emotional, and he gave a lot of advice to me. He is a really kind person.” The three of them proudly said that they are fans of Kim Kyu Jong, saying this interview should reach him, with Shin Myeong Sung (who plays Ho Yeon, Seung Jun’s best friend) even adding that Kim Kyu Jong adds heart when he sends messages.
