PIBI’s webtoon ‘Unintentional Love Story’ will reportedly be having its live adaptation!

‘Unintentional Love Story’ is a web drama adaptation of PIBI’s webtoon with the same ‘비의도적 연애담’ starring Cha Seo Won, B1A4 Gongchan, Han Do Woo, and Won Tae Min (You Make Me Dance) as Yoon Taejun, Ji Won Young, Go Ho Tae, and Kim Dong Hee, respectively.

Gong Chan-Sik, known by his stage name Gongchan, is a singer, a member of the K-POP boy group, B1A4, and an actor, plays the role of Ji Won Young, an employee of the general affairs department of a large company who needs to win the heart of Yoon Taejun.

Cha Seo Won is an actor who star in 2022’s ‘The Second Husband’ and won his first award as an actor. He played the genius ceramic artist who disappeared as if he were deleted from this world.

SYNOPSIS: When Ji Wonyoung’s direct superior at work is fired due to a corruption scandal, Wonyoung – in spite of being innocent of any wrongdoing – finds himself unceremoniously discharged from the company as well. Desperate to get his job back, Wonyoung tries to curry favor by tracking down the chairman’s favorite artist. He finds the missing man running a pottery shop in a remote town, but it’s clear that Yoon Taejun has no desire to be found.

Wonyoung decides to hang around town and secretly report whatever he can learn about Taejun’s self-imposed exile; but when feelings begin to develop between the two, Wonyoung starts to question his sexuality, his motivations, and whether he even wants to go back to his old life in Seoul. But what will happen when Taejun learns Wonyoung has been spying on him this entire time?

The web drama is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2023 on iQIYI.
