The love-hate revenge drama between a boss and subordinate who are ex-lovers will premiere on January 08, 2024!
TV Tokyo revealed its plans to produce a second live-action series adaptation of Hiroshi Matsuyama’s Chaser Game manga, titled ‘Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Boss is My Ex-Girlfriend’. The setting and characters underwent a complete change from the previous work, and the script was entirely crafted from scratch under the supervision of a lesbian. This series revolves around a love story featuring a lesbian boss within a game company and her two subordinates. It explores the complex emotions coming from regret over a past relationship. Harumoto Itsuki will be portrayed by Sugai Yukai (formerly from Sakurazaka46), while Nakamura Yurika (from What Did You Eat Yesterday?) will take on the role of Hayashi Fuyuu. This is the first TV Tokyo drama to feature a lesbian as the main characters.
Sugai Yukai’s character, Harumoto Itsuki, is employed at “Dynamic Dream”, a role-playing game development company. Chosen as the leader for the Japan-China major joint project, Itsuki shared a romantic history with Hayashi Fuyuu during their college years. However, she has chosen not to reveal her sexual orientation, keeping her identity as a lesbian undisclosed both within the company and to her family.

Nakamura Yurika’s character, Hayashi Fuyuu, is working at “Vincent”, a major content company in China. Fuyuu is responsible for overseeing the Japan-China major joint project. To conceal her sexual orientation, she entered into a marriage and currently resides with her husband, who is a stay-at-home dad, along with their three children.
