Movie Sequel ‘My Beautiful Man: Eternal’ Will Be Having its Streaming Premiere on August 8

The Japanese BL movie ‘My Beautiful Man: Eternal’ will be having its local release on a streaming platform this month!

The most-anticipated and well-received movie sequel of ‘My Beautiful Man’, a two-season Japanese TV drama that is an adaptation based on Nagira Yuu’s award-winning comic series ‘Utsukushii Kare, Actor-singer Yusei Yagi, a member of EXILE TRIBE’s J-pop group, FANTASTICS, and Riku Hagiwara reprised their roles as Kiyoi So and Hira Kazunari, helmed by director Mai Sakai and screenwriter Fumi Tsubota. Also starring Takano Akira, Ochiai Motoki, Nimura Sawa, and Maeda Kentaro.

‘My Beautiful Man: Eternal’ is a full-length movie that was released on the big screen in Japan on April 7th with 3 million gross sales to date, according to boxofficemojo’s website. The movie is also shown at the 27th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Followed by its movie release in Vietnam, Taiwan, and South Korea. And now, reportedly, it will have its local release on a streaming platform, U-NEXT, on August 8th.

Hira, a taciturn individual with no friends, and Kiyoi, the most popular boy in school, become lovers and start living together after numerous twists and turns post-high school graduation. As university graduation looms, ‘Hira,’ who has become a cameraman’s assistant, starts distancing himself from ‘Kiyoi,’ now a popular actor, out of a desire not to hinder his success. Consequently, the two slowly start to drift apart.

As of this writing, no further information has been released regarding its international release. You can binge-watch the six-episode ‘My Beautiful Man’ and its four-episode second season on the LGBTQ+ BL streaming platform, GagaOOLala, worldwide except in Japan and South Korea.
