An overview of MBS’ Tunku Drama Shower’s shows.
On March 4, 2022, Kadokawa Corporation announced their new boys’ love drama label, Tunku. MBS also announced that they were creating a programming block in collaboration with the label, titled Drama Shower, in which they would broadcast boys’ love drama adaptations published under the Tunku label.
Drama Shower is a Japanese programming block on MBS. The programming block is set to run for one year and is a collaboration between MBS and Kadokawa’s boys’ love programming label, Tunku, to broadcast the boys’ love television drama series published by the latter. Drama Shower is broadcast on Fridays from 1:29 AM to 1:59 AM JST (Japan Standard Time).
Here’s an overview of all of the Japanese BL series under Tunku Drama Shower’s timeslot:
1. Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!, an eight-episode TV series based on Tsuyu Gamoko’s manga ‘Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shika Nai!’ starring Ryosuke Sota and Yusuke Sato of lol (エルオーエル).
Fukuhara Kouta was born unlucky. No matter where he goes or what he does, bad luck is sure to follow. On the first day of his new college, he nearly gets hit by a car, only to be saved by fellow student Shinomiya Naoya. As it turns out, Shinomiya was born lucky—and on top of that, he’s also incredibly handsome and charismatic. When an unlucky man encounters his lucky star, what kind of sparks will fly?

2. Senpai, This Can’t Be Love!, an eight-episode TV series based on Harekawa Shinta’s manga ‘Senpai, Danjite Koidewa!’ starring Toshiki Seto and Shuichiro Naito.
Yanase has worked as a 3D CG designer all across the world. Now back in Japan, Yanase is training a newbie by the name of Kaneda Yuki. There’s only one issue: Kaneda is super unfriendly towards Yanase, leaving Yanase frustrated and disappointed. With a new project where they will have to work side by side, how can these two overcome their different personalities?
