Another Japanese BL centered on food is ready to be served!
Drama Phil announced their next project to be ‘Mitsuya-sensei no Keikakuteki na Ezuke’ (Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding), an adaptation from Matsumoto Ayaka’s manga of the same name. The story follows newbie editor Tomoya Ishida, who is tasked with collecting a column from culinary researcher Ayumu Mitsuya after his senior is hospitalized. Surprised by Ayumu’s affable nature and Kyoto dialect, Tomoya is served a simple dish that entices him, leaving him eager for their next encounter.
Masayoshi Yamazaki, a singer-songwriter, will be playing Ayumu Mitsuya, while Taisei Sakai, known for his role in “Ohsama Sentai KingOhger,” will portray Tomoya Ishida. Katsumi Nojiri, one of the directors of ‘What Did You Eat Yesterday?’ will be directing this series, so we are in for a treat with all the food shots. The scriptwriter will be Nami Kikkawa, and Tomohide Harada will be composing the music, with Yamazaki performing the series’ opening theme song. The series is set to premiere on July 25 on MBS Drama Phil timeslot.
