Heads up! The newest Japanese drama ‘I Hear the Sunspot’ is coming to GagaOOLala!
‘I Hear the Sunspot’ is a series adaptation based on the beloved manga by Yuki Fumino. This touching story explores themes of friendship, communication, and disability, particularly focusing on hearing impairment. It is praised for its sensitive and realistic portrayal of hearing impairment, delving into the emotional and social impact of hearing loss, highlighting issues like isolation, the struggle for independence, and the importance of communication and understanding.
‘I Hear the Sunspot’ has also inspired a live-action film adaptation, which further expands its reach and brings the story to a broader audience. Now, as a drama series consisting of twelve episodes, it is directed by Fuga Yaegashi, Sho Makino, and Takanobu Harashima. The drama marks the reunion of Nakazawa Motoki and Kobayashi Toranosuke after their success in ‘Worst to First: A Teen Baseball Miracle’.
