Kubota Maru’s manga ‘Kimi To Nara Koi Wo Shite Mite Mo’ live adaptation has finally revealed its lead actor and release date!

The ‘Pending Train’ actor Wataru Hyuga and Takato Okura from dance and vocal group Genin wa Jibun ni Aru are reportedly to star in the upcoming TV drama ‘Kimi To Nara Koi Wo Shite Mite Mo,’ with literal English translation, ‘If It’s With You, Maybe I’d Fall in Love’, as Ryuuji Yamasuge and Amane Kaido, respectively.

The drama is based on Kubota Maru’s manga of the same name, depicting a story of pure and painful love between high school students set in Enoshima, Japan. It is directed by Hana Matsumoto and screenwriter Mash Morino.

SYNOPSIS: Thanks to past trauma, Amane, a high school student, has given up on the idea of seriously loving anyone. On the first day of his new life in Enoshima, he met Ryuuji, a boy his age. Ryuuji happened to be Amane’s type, and he’d also like to hang out with him more. But what started out with light feelings is now beginning to change into something unexpected.

‘Kimi To Nara Koi Wo Shite Mite Mo’ premieres on October 5, and it airs every Thursday at 12:59 AM JST on local TV stations MBS, TV Kanagawa, Chiba TV, Tochigi TV, TV Saitama and Gunma TV.
