‘Eternal Yesterday: Director’s Cut’ Sets to Premiere on April 13!

To commemorate the continuation of the Tunku Drama Shower timeslot, “Eternal Yesterday” will be releasing its director’s cut!

The “Drama Shower” timeslot started just one year as a collaboration project between MBS and the BL drama label “Tunku.” Based on Yuri Eda’s beloved tearjerker BL novel, “Eternal Yesterday,” it stars Rio Komiya and Sora Inoue, and began airing in October 2022. It depicts Yamada Koichi, a high school student who got involved in a car accident, and his classmate, Oumi Mitsuru, who communicate with each other and work hard to “live” by looking at life and sexuality. The director’s cut is re-edited by director Keiichi Kobayashi and includes unreleased footage.

SYNOPSIS: The personalities of Koichi, who is energetic, cheerful, and popular among his classmates, and Mitsuru, who is terrified by the very thought of socializing, are utterly different; yet they are attracted to each other for this very reason. One tragic morning, Koichi finds himself in the midst of an unfortunate accident and while he manages to survive the incident, his classmates, however, gradually begin to forget about him and his existence…

“Eternal Yesterday: Director’s Cut” is set to premiere on April 13th at 1:29 AM JST (Japan Standard Time) on channel MBS. In addition to that, the first project of 2023 under Tunku Drama Shower will be released in June! Will it also be available for international fans?
