After a long wait, the adaptation of the boys love manga has officially been canceled.
The production committee announced on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account that the anime film adaptation of Rihito Takarai’s Boys Love manga “Ten Count” has been canceled due to production reasons. The committee extended their apologies to the fans who had been eagerly anticipating the film for a long time and to everyone involved in the project. The anime was initially scheduled to premiere on television in 2020 but was later announced to be postponed. In October 2022, plans were altered to transform the TV anime into a theatrical film, aiming for a release by the end of 2023, but unfortunately, it did not debut as planned. Shinnosuke Tachibana, known for his role as Yoshino Chiaki in “Sekaiichi Hatsukoi,” and Tomoaki Maeno, who portrayed Yukina Kou in the same BL anime were cast as Tadaomi Shirotani and Riku Kurose, respectively. The production was a collaboration between East Fish Studio and Synergy SP.
