One of the most beloved isekai BL will be adapted into an anime!
The publishing company Enterbrain has officially announced an anime adaptation for the Isekai BL ‘The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter’! Originally a light novel by Yatsuki Wakatsu with illustrations by Kikka Ohashi, the series was first published in February 2019. A manga adaptation by Kazuki Irodori began serialization in March 2020 and was later licensed by Yen Press. The series has over 1.4 million copies in print circulation.
In a fantasy world, humble accountant Kondou is summoned alongside a holy maiden. As he adjusts to his new life of endless work, his fate takes a romantic turn when the handsome knight captain, Aresh, takes an interest. Will Aresh save him from a life devoted solely to work, or is Kondou destined to be married to his job forever? Currently, no additional information about the cast, animation studio, or release date has been provided at the time of the announcement.
An illustration by the manga artist Kazuki Irodori was shared in commemoration of the anime adaptation.
