A love story unfolds between a yakuza and an office worker in ‘Dominant Yakuza and Wimpy Corporate Slave’.
On October 31, Japan’s newly launched streaming app MOV, which specializes in 2-3 minute short-form series, premiered its first BL drama titled ‘Dominant Yakuza and Wimpy Corporate Slave’. The series stars Karuma from Avex Management alongside Taiwanese actor-singer Ah Ben, who is set to host the upcoming Taiwanese show Love Casting.
Based on Arin Himari’s manga Ore-sama Yakuza to Hetare Shachiku no Jingi Naki Dekiai—officially titled in English as ‘The Honorless Love of Dominant Yakuza and Wimpy Corporate Slave’—the drama spans 10 episodes. The story follows Yang, a Taiwanese office worker who, feeling trapped in corporate life, witnesses a yakuza named Yuuma in a fight. Captivated by Yuuma’s strength, Yang unexpectedly reunites with him, leading to a gradual, if awkward, attraction. As their connection deepens, Yuuma opens up to Yang, bridging the gap between their solitary lives.
