LOOK: Filipino BL Movie ‘Pretty Boys’ Announced

A new BL movie from the Philippines will be gracing our silver screens soon!

The upcoming gay film ‘Pretty Boys’ was announced on X on July 23, Tuesday, with a poster accompanying the news, featuring young Filipino actors Tommy Alejandrino, Kiel Aguilar, and Markus Paterson who will be headlining the movie.

The poster introduces the three main leads as “The First Love,” “The Blooming Twink,” and “The Best Friend”, piquing the interest of many in the film’s plot which has yet to be revealed.

The trio are no strangers to acting in a queer project. Tommy is best known for ‘The Day I Loved You’ (2023), ‘Senior High’ (2023), ‘Mallari’ (2023), and ‘GomBurZa’ (2023). Kiel’s acting credits include the BL series ‘Our Story’ (2023) and ‘Osmosis’ (2022). Markus, on the other hand, has acted in several projects such as the trans film ‘Mamu and a Mother Too’ (2018), ‘Dead Kids’ (2019), and the BL movie ‘Hello Strangers: The Movie’ (2021).

This project marks another collaboration between Ash Malanum and Ivan Andrew Payawal as the writer and director after working with ‘Gameboys’ (2020).

The film is going to be produced by The Idea First Company, which is best known for producing top-tier and critically acclaimed projects such as ‘Bwakaw’ (2012), ‘Die Beautiful’ (2016), ‘Kalel, 15’ (2019), and the BL smash hit series, ‘Gameboys’.

‘Pretty Boys’ is coming soon exclusively on Vivamax Plus.
