This was preceded by photos circulating online of Bright and Nene seen holding hands in public. Some fans, particularly those who supported Bright’s on-screen pairing with Win Metawin from ‘2Gether’, were disappointed by this news, leading to Bright addressing these fans’ concerns.

Aside from confirming the relationship, Bright also emphasized that he and Nene, who shared the screen with him in the aforementioned ‘2Gether’, did not wish to disrespect or harm anyone with this news. The decision to reveal that the two actors are officially dating is in line with what Bright calls a desire to “be respectful and true” to himself. He then thanked the fans who have supported him for a long time and will continue to do so, saying that this “means a lot” to him. He then ended his post with a few sentences talking about what Nene means to himl, in hopes of getting the support of those reading the statement.
