The year 2021 marks a year for Korean BL (Boys’ Love) web dramas that received positive feedback. Among them is ‘To My Star’, which consists of nine episodes with a 12-18 minute run-time and compiled as a movie version. The series stars actors Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min and is directed by Hwang Da Seul (‘Where Your Eyes Linger’ and ‘Blueming’). The story tells about the bittersweet and unexpected romance between an actor and a chef.
SYNOPSIS: Actor Kang Seo Joon (Son Woo Hyun) was once one of South Korea’s biggest and most popular stars, but his career is now in decline. But despite his fall in popularity, he believes he has had a chance of fortune when he meets and falls for a dashing young chef named Han Ji Woo (Kim Kang Min). Despite having wildly different personalities, the two begin an unlikely relationship. But their love comes under threat when the more conservative Han Ji Woo and the free-spirited Kang Seo Joon realize that their outlook on life, love, and everything else appears irrevocably different.
The two actors impressed fans with their excellent acting skills and amazed everyone with their kissing scenes, which definitely garnered different reactions on Twitter. Son Woo Hyun also showcases his songwriting skill with ‘To My Star’, an Original Soundtrack of ‘To My Star’.
