Kan Hideyoshi & Nishiyama Jun to Star in Live Adaptation ‘Sukiyanen Kedo Dou Yaro Ka?’; Premieres January 11

Chiba Ryoko’s manga, ‘Sukiyanen Kedo Dou Yaro Ka?’ has been announced for a live adaptation and will premiere on January 11!

‘Sukiyanen Kedo Dou Yaro Ka?’ (Although I Love You, And You?) is a drama adaptation based on Chiba Ryoko’s manga of the same name. The story follows Soga, who, after a divorce and relocation to Osaka, seeks solace in dining at 26-year-old Sakae’s restaurant. Unbeknownst to Soga, Sakae sees him as more than just a regular customer. Kan Hideyoshi, known for his role in Kamen Rider Geats, will portray the character Soga Hisashi, a divorced salesman who transferred from Tokyo to Osaka. Meanwhile, Nishiyama Jun will be Matsumoto Sakae, the young owner of “Tamae” with a strong Kansai dialect. Originally released in 2013, the manga has been serialized by GUSH Comics. Accompanying the drama adaptation, original characters from the series will make appearances, and a storyline not depicted in the manga will be developed. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 11 in the “Drama DiVE” slot.

SYNOPSIS: After his divorce and transfer to Osaka, the only thing Soga thinks about is getting through his day. One of the things that he takes great pleasure in is going to 26-year-old Sakae’s restaurant and eating the delicious food he creates. However, he doesn’t know that Sakae sees him as more than just a frequent customer.
