Sapphic Adult Cartoon ‘Harley Quinn’ to Return This Summer

Adult cartoon series ‘Harley Quinn’ is finally confirmed to return to the small screen this summer, Warner Bros. Discovery confirms!

In a press release, ‘Harley Quinn’ is included in Max Originals’ adult animation slate that is in development and is assured of a return this summer.

The sapphic animated series ended its third season in September 2022 followed by a special Valentine’s Day episode in February 2023. Although renewal for another season was announced prior to the end of its third season, anxiety hit fans when Warner Bros. Discovery started ending some of its existing and already-announced shows following the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery.

Aside from ‘Harley Quinn’, the adult show slate also includes ‘Anything Factory’, ‘Uptown Bodega’, ‘Keeping Up With The Joneses’, the second season for Max Original ‘Ten Year Old Tom’, ‘Velma’, ‘Clone High’ (its second season set for a 2024 release), ‘Fired on Mars’ and upcoming ‘Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake’.

A Harley Quinn spinoff titled ‘Kite Man: Hell Yeah!”, earlier announced with ‘Noonans’ as a working title is also added to the list. ‘Scavengers Reign’ and ‘Creature Commandos’ complete the list.

“The series that we create at Max are art and voice-driven, with character and comedy coming before anything else,” said Suzanna Makkos, Executive Vice President, Original Comedy and Adult Animation, Max and Adult Swim.
