The highly anticipated Chinese drama ‘Blue Canvas of Youthful Days’, formerly known as ‘Blue Time’, made a surprise debut on August 6 with an international release on iQIYI. 4 episodes were initially released however, fans quickly noticed that the show was taken down just one day later.

This twelve-episode romantic web drama, starring Xiao Zizhuo, Yao Xinghao, Guo Jiale, Hu Zeming, Zhang Xuanyu, and more, had only released four episodes before its sudden removal, leaving fans frustrated. Many suspect that the ongoing BL ban in China is the primary reason behind this setback.

The production team has urged fans to remain patient, assuring them that they are working on resolving the issue and finding a solution for the drama’s re-broadcasting. Fans are hopeful that they will be able to watch the new episodes next week.

The official synopsis reads “Qi Lu, who comes from a family of artists, was forced to learn painting from a young age under his father’s controlling influence. In his senior year of high school, due to a misunderstanding, he decides to study in Liu Mingyang’s studio. There, he meets Qin Xiao, a village boy living in the city, and a talented painter burdened by family responsibilities. Qin Xiao turns out to be the online artist “Lan” whom Qi Lu has been searching for. Feeling guilty towards “Lan,” Qi Lu struggles to muster the courage to confess his secret to the seemingly irritable Qin Xiao. Instead, he approaches Qin Xiao with the hope of becoming friends. As they break the ice and grow closer, Qi Lu becomes increasingly moved by Qin Xiao’s resilience and starts to have different expectations for their relationship…
