Bobby Berk Talks Rumored Feud With Former ‘Queer Eye’ Co-Star Tan France

Bobby Berk has opened up about his rumored feud with his ‘Queer Eye’ co-star Tan France.

Fans were left devastated and shocked after it was announced that the resident interior designer expert of ‘Queer Eye’ will be leaving the hit Netflix show.

However, after the announcement of Berk’s exit, speculations arose of a possible feud between cast members, particularly Berk and the resident fashion and styling expert France.

By the end of 2023, fans started to notice that Berk was no longer following France, nor tagging him in group photos of the Fab Five which also includes food and wine expert Antoni Porowski, grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness, and culture and lifestyle expert Karamo Brown.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Berk shared the truth about their potential dispute, saying there was a personal situation that had been brewing albeit nothing romantic.

“Should I have unfollowed Tan? No, maybe I should have just muted him. But that day, I was angry, and that’s the end of it. We became like siblings, and siblings are always going to fight,” he said.

According to Berk, he and France made up at the 75th Emmy Awards when ‘Queer Eye’ won the Outstanding Structured Reality Program award. The 42-year-old interior designer shared that they hugged each other and both said congratulations.

“I will always have a very special place in my heart for him, and Rob [France’s husband], and the kids. I can foresee in six months or a year, Tan and I at each other’s house being good. The Emmys was already the first bandage on that wound,” he added.

‘Queer Eye’ won 10 Emmy awards, including five consecutive wins for outstanding structured reality program from 2018 to 2022. It was also lauded for its strong representation among the queer community including people of color.

Season 8 premiered on January 24 and took place in New Orleans. Netflix has also renewed the show for a ninth season in Las Vegas.
