Alice Oseman Updates Fans On The Ending Of The ‘Heartstopper’ Books

It seems like ‘Heartstopper’ author Alice Oseman finally has an ending for our favorite queer teen couple Narlie.

Earlier this year, Oseman confessed to find it difficult to come up with ideas for the final installment of her queer graphic novel, but it seems like she finally broke through her writer’s block.

In an Instagram story on May 25, Saturday, the 29-year-old author shared a photo of a document on her computer with the caption “The End.”

Oseman shared that she believes she has the first draft of the sixth volume of the book albeit just the written parts and not the illustrations just yet.

The author previously revealed that volume six will be the last of the books and will reveal how Charlie and Nick’s stories will wrap up.

“I think it’s probably too long [right now] but maybe I can make it work… but mostly feeling pretty good about it. Gonna share with some friends and colleagues and get some opinions, then make some tweaks probably,” she added.

The following day, Oseman also reassured fans that ‘Heartstopper’ has not ended just yet since she still has to draw it which will take at least 18 months so we still have some time before the conclusion. She proceeded to thank fans for the support and expressed her excitement to have constructed the complete plotline and to start drawing.

Fans will have to wait for a little while though before they can get their hands on the next comic as volume five just got released last December where Nick and Charlie decided to take their relationship to a more sexual level.

In the meantime, you can watch the first two seasons of ‘Heartstopper’ on Netflix. The third season airs on October 3.
