BillkinPP’s first-ever movie together ‘The Red Envelope’ set for release next year!

Earlier this year, GDH announced a collaboration with Billkin Entertainment and PP Krit Entertainment to launch Project Red, marking the first cinematic appearance of Putthipong Assaratanakul (Billkin) and Krit Amnuaydechkorn (PP), which attracted a lot of attention and anticipation since it was announcement last July.

Today (September 25), the production unveiled its official title, ‘The Red Envelope (ซองแดงแต่งผี)’, a remake of the popular Taiwanese film Marry My Dead Body (แต่งกับผี), which was highly successful in various countries worldwide. The rights to the film were acquired from Calendar Studios Company Limited.

‘Marry My Dead Body’ follows Wu Ming-Han, a straight policeman who is homophobic and ghost-phobic, accidentally picks up a red wedding envelope while collecting evidence. He finds himself betrothed to the envelope’s owner Mao Pang-Yu, a gay man who died under mysterious circumstances. The duo must work through their differences and join forces to solve the case, seeking justice for Mao.

This new version will be reinterpreted in a fun and unique way by producer Tong-Banjong Pisathanakun, known for Pee Mak, and talented director Moo-Chayanop Boonprakob, who worked on Friend Zone.

Additionally, Bilkin and PP are widely known for their standout roles in ‘My Ambulance’, ‘I Told Sunset About You’, and ‘I Promised You The Moon’. Their upcoming comedy film, The Red Envelope, is set to hit theaters early next year.
