Confessions and Uncertainties Arise in ‘First Note of Love’ Episodes 7 & 8

How will Neil help Sea get through his anxieties over starting a group with him? And will Reese and Orca finally get together?! Let’s find out in Episodes 7 & 8 of ‘First Note of Love‘.

Episode 7: Are You Willing to Trust Me?

Neil invites Sea to his place in an attempt to ease his anxiety and stress. Neil makes him watch a few clips from the past which included him and his brother, Matt. This made Sea become emotional as Neil talked to him about his brother. Sea tries to comfort Neil by initiating a hug which turns into a kiss. Neil ended up confessing to Sea about his feelings, but Sea decided to leave.

Meanwhile, back in Reese’s home, Orca is still treating it as his own all the while making Reese nervous. He sees Orca sleeping on his sofa shirtless. He pulls the blanket to cover him, kisses his forehead, and whispers how perfect he is. But as he leaves, Orca opens his eyes.

Sea, on the other hand, gets ~frustrated~ with his dream. He can’t stop thinking about his kiss with Neil! But Neil is just the same as he asked for advice from Mei about a “friend” who confessed his love to someone. Mei immediately clocked him out, but Neil still refused to admit that it was him (though it was easy of him to say he preferred men when Mei asked!).

Sea, too, asked advice from Ting Fei, telling her that they kissed last night. Ting Fei, the good jiejie that she is, tries to comfort him and asks him what he thinks Neil is to him. He ends up saying that he is his “partner.”

Mei scolds Neil for kissing Sea, but Neil says that he really can’t do anything when it is about his feelings. Sea enters the studio so they can practice and gives Neil the death glare, as if to say that they shouldn’t talk about what happened last night. Despite the death glare, Neil still tries to go closer to Sea and makes the situation more comfortable so the two finally create beautiful music together as a duo.

After practice, the two rest up back in the studio with Sea reflecting about how Neil and his music helped him during his tough times. Sea confesses his feelings to a sleeping Neil.

Episode 8: Before Becoming Lovers

Reese wakes up to a home-cooked meal and a message in Thai… all from Orca, who is still not his boyfriend but his live-in husband probably). Reese smiles and eat the breakfast.

He goes in to his office and gets surprised by Sea, saying that they slept inside the studio while practicing. Reese tells him that he shouldn’t pull all-nighters and that health is more important. Sea asked him about fund raising for the project group, and Reese tells him he shouldn’t worry about that.

Sea, of course, worries about it. He, then, meets Orca and the two make music together. Orca notices that Sea looks like he’s in love and Sea was surprised by this observation. Sea doesn’t confirm it, but he asked for advice regarding writing a song for Neil and shares his concern that he doesn’t think Neil doesn’t need him. Orca tells him that during their busking performance, Neil actually managed to perform because Sea was by his side. Orca also tells Sea that he should stop only accommodating Neil because if he does, he will lose his sense of self and talent.

Finally, sleeping beauty Neil wakes up and the first thing he asks is where Sea was. Reese and Mei hesitates to tell him that he is with Orca. When they finally told him, Neil went all over trying to look for Orca and Neil, feeling nervous about how Orca treated Neil before. Finally, Neil sees the two and they go to Liang’s bar to have a meal together. Neil asked Orca what the heck he was doing with Sea and almost fought because of what happened. Sea stopped them and said that they were just talking. Liang, seeing the tension, brought “happy hour” drinks which made Neil and Orca drink.

Sea ended up taking a very drunk Neil on his motor. Neil clings on to Sea and tells him that he should just be himself because that’s what he likes him to do. He also asks Sea if they can postpone practice tomorrow because he wants to go on a date with him. Sea smiles.

Meanwhile, Reese comes home to a very drunk Orca is lying on Reese’s sofa once again. He gets a can of beer and talks to a sleeping Orca, asking him why he’s still with him when he has already rejected him. Reese confesses that he likes him, but he’s afraid to lose him so he chooses for them to be friends.

Orca, who ends up being awake after all, asks him what he was talking about since he was speaking in Chinese. Reese tells him to just rest well, but Orca stops him and asks him if he wants to sing with him. Reese… he looks like he’s so in love with this talented and beautiful Orca.

After being serenaded, Orca asks him if their relationship is really that impossible. Reese gets a drawing pad and explains to him why their relationship is gonna be hard, all the while Orca was saying it’s not. Reese hilariously asks if they have communication issues since he has explained it to him a lot of times before and he has already spent a lot of money learning Thai and he still can’t speak it despite everything. Orca, on the other hand, says that he can help Reese with his project with Magnet.
