Taiwanese BL ‘First Note of Love‘ finally premiered its first two episodes. But is it worth a watch?
The story starts with news articles about the popular male duo Magnet comprising of Neil and his brother, Matt. A terrible accident occurs, leading to Matt’s eventual passing, which leads to Neil pausing his activities as a singer. Enter the child prodigy Sea, a young college student who is an absolute genius in making music! He was so good that he was offered an opportunity to work for a music company, which he was initially on the fence over. A little nudge from his boss, Liang, ended up with him agreeing to a meeting with the music company. The two decide to celebrate, but it is then when Sea meets Neil while finding himself in a scuffle trying to help a “damsel in distress” (she was not). While on the run (and curiously got paired together), Neil and Sea accidentally shared a kiss, surprising the very innocent Sea and earning a laugh from hobo!Neil.
But of course, their relationship does not just end there, they end up meeting each other in the music company with the company agent, Reese. Neil berates Sea’s capabilities, Sea calls him a has-been.
Neil is not happy about being called a has-been, so he follows Sea everywhere and finds himself singing at Liang’s bar. But will Neil eventually find himself performing on stage and back in his normal appearance or will the long hair stay?
