On August 7, the production company “Flying Penguin” surprised fans by releasing the official trailer for its newest short film, “Twins.” The trailer quickly went viral, racking up 2.5 million impressions on X (formerly Twitter) due to its shocking storyline about a man caught in a relationship with twins.

The 11-minute short film stars Kim Chan Gyu, a participant from South Korea’s first-ever gay dating reality show, “His Man Season 1,” which aired in 2020 and is available to stream on GagaOOLala. It also features Seo Tae Ung, a seasoned theatre and musical actor.

Flying Penguin is known for its Korean queer shorts, including “에이브이아이/.avi” (2019) and “돔/DOM” (2017).

The story follows a young man who has been single for a year after his boyfriend suddenly disappeared without a formal breakup. One night, while scrolling through a dating app, he encounters someone who looks strikingly similar to his ex. After a spontaneous hookup, he discovers that this new acquaintance is actually his ex’s twin brother. As he navigates this unexpected twist, he finds himself drawn into a complicated web of emotions. Will he end up choosing between the two brothers, or will he find himself entangled with both?
