Hwang Da Seul’s ‘Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo’ Set to Premiere on October 17

Following its debut at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), ‘Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo’ is set to reach international audiences this October.

On October 1, the South Korean streaming platform Heavenly announced the official release date for the highly anticipated Korean BL drama.

The eight-episode web drama stars Kim Nu Rim as Lee Do Hoe, Lee Soon as Sin Ju Yeong, and Jang Yeon Woo as Ha Yeon Hoo. This marks director Hwang Da Seul’s return to the BL genre following her success with ‘To My Star’, ‘Blueming’, and ‘To My Star 2’.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS (from BIFAN): Juyoung reunites with his long-lost first love, Dohoi, whom he has been desperately searching for, at a funeral after twelve years. “It feels like everything is cursed…” Twelve years ago, the two of them shared a tender love, empathizing with each other’s wounds. How did they end up estranged from each other? Dohoi, who found his own dream instead of Taekwondo as he desired, and Juyoung, who still does Taekwondo, can break the curse of the past now, twelve years later?
