Once the poison is gone, it turns into love in the preview released for ‘Love is Like a Poison’.
‘Love is Like a Poison’ follows the story of Shiba Ryoma, a lawyer, and a genius con artist, Haruto who become business partners and begin living together. It is a suspense and boy’s love comedy in which Shiba, a beginner in love, falls in love with Haruto, who is sweet and devoted to Shiba even if he puts himself in danger. Shogo Hama and Katsumi Hyodo will portray the roles of Shiba Ryoma and Haruto, respectively.
The official account released a 15-second preview introducing the main characters, featuring the genius lawyer Shiba Ryoma, who claims that there’s no room for love in his life. Enter Haruto, a genius con artist who declares that he will be Ryoma’s 100th partner and first lover, as he tries various ways to make the lawyer fall in love with him. Even poison, when overdone, turns into love—can Ryoma escape, or has the poison of love already entered his system?
The theme songs for the upcoming series have already been announced, with “Lovetoxin” by Wanuka serving as the opening and “Geometric” by osage as the ending. The opening song, with its folk music atmosphere and retro, pop, yet unique melody line, will set the tone for a fun romantic comedy. Meanwhile, the ending song features an emotional yet refreshing tune with a fast-paced sound.
