Motojima Junsei and Kamimura Kenshin to Lead Japanese Remake of Korean Webtoon in ‘Miseinen ~Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu~’; Premieres November 4

Another Japanese remake, this time based on a Korean webtoon, will be available starting November 4!

Based on the Korean BL webtoon “Our Youth” by Hinoon, the story follows two immature high school boys who are complete opposites and have yet to understand what love truly is. Following the recent announcement of a Japanese remake of a Thailand BL series, another remake is on the way—this time from a popular Korean webtoon. With over 6.4 million views worldwide, the beloved webtoon is now being adapted into a live-action Japanese drama.

Motojima Jinsei, known for his role as Kamen Rider Gotchard, will portray Minase Jin, a second-year high school student from a wealthy family who is highly capable and smart enough to avoid getting involved in troublesome situations. Kamimura Kenshin, a member of the group ONE N’ ONLY, who previously played a supporting role as Hao in ‘Ossan’s Love Returns’, will now take on the lead role as Hirukawa Haruki. Hirukawa is a reckless troublemaker who lives with his abusive father. He often hides his true feelings and makes excuses to avoid difficult situations. The Japanese remake titled, ‘Miseinen ~Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu~’ will premiere on November 4.
