The four characters will add color to the romance between Shiba and Haruto.
‘Love is Like a Poison’ follows the story of Shiba Ryoma, a lawyer, and a genius con artist, Haruto who become business partners and begin living together. It is a suspense and boy’s love comedy in which Shiba, a beginner in love, falls in love with Haruto, who is sweet and devoted to Shiba even if he puts himself in danger. Shogo Hama and Katsumi Hyodo will portray the roles of Shiba Ryoma and Haruto, respectively.

Kawai Aoba will play Saki, the bartender at the bar “Poisonous Tree” Shima and Kazama frequent. Saki makes sharp remarks during Shiba and Kazama’s conversations, adding a distinctive touch to the drama.
Koga Ken plays the character Kazama Kentarou, Shiba’s colleague from the Oraculum Firm. Shiba recognizes him as the second best after him but he is indifferent to being promoted and is a human rights lawyer who sticks to his beliefs and justice. He is also a gay man with a same-sex lover and a good confidant to Shiba who is a novice in love.
Nakamura Ikuji will play the role of Iwamune, the head of the Oraculum Law Firm. He is portrayed as a strict yet caring boss who puts pressure on Shiba, a character who has caused many partners to leave the firm, by demanding that Shiba find his own suitable partner among the remaining ones.
Nose Rin will play Yu, a key character in the story. Yu is a young man with a complicated family background who adores Haruto as his older brother. He plays an essential role in helping Shiba learn about Haruto’s past.
